Our vision of adding a statue of our founder
Blessed Michael J. McGivney has finally been realized.
On Sunday, June 7, 2022 the statue was dedicted by Biship Frank J. Caggiano. Those attending included Blessed McGivney's nephew John Walsh, CT State Deputy Matthew McGrath, District Master Kevin Donovan and a Fourth Degree Honor Guard.
"The statue of Blessed McGivney, who founded the Knights at St. Mary Church in New Haven in 1882, occupies a special place at the shrine and rests in the shadow of Our Lady of Fatima on the top of the hill. The project to purchase the statue and create a memorial area was a cooperative effort of Assembly 107, which meets at St. Margaret Shrine and consists of Councils 16 and 12615 of Bridgeport, Council 11077 of Fairfield, and Council 13228 of Stratford. Knights from around the state and New York turned out for the dedication and the blessing of the statue." (Fairfield County Catholic, online edition, June 7, 2022)

Venerable Servant of God, Father Michael J. McGivney
The following was taken directly from St Margaret Shrine website - with all that's going on with the destruction and vandalism of statues, consider spending some time, not only at this shrine, but others as well. Make it a Council of Assembly project!
